The Phoenix Web Collective mission is to combat poverty and prevent unnecessary waste from entering landfills by redistributing goods for free while creating a space for community engagement and creativity. Its Community Fridge does just that, by providing free and anonymous access to food, 24/7, for anyone in need. The Phoenix Web Collective operates its Community Fridge in a shed containing three refrigerators, a deep freezer, and a pantry, located behind the EMS building at 7991 Main Street, Hunter. The fridge serves the Mountaintop region, including Hunter, Jewett, Prattsville, Tannersville, Lexington, and nearby communities.

In addition, the Phoenix Web Collective runs a 100% free, community-driven thrift shop to provide items to residents at virtually no cost. They also operate a variety of community programs and workshops focused on education, volunteer participation, and highlighting the needs of their clients.
The group accepts all types of food donations, particularly fresh, high-protein items, and food that cater to alternative diets such as vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-free options. They have a range of volunteer opportunities, with help needed delivering food, tidying up the fridge area, or raising funds for grocery purchases.
