I worked for 40 years for the Port Authority of NY & NJ, and retired in 2013 at age 58. I entered the company as a paper picker.. going to college at night on the Port Authority program . . and worked my way up to trades helper electrician, then high tension systems operating manager. Since my retirement I have offered my services and knowledge to help others. I have been to Puerto Rico after it was devastated by the hurricane for six weeks, volunteering my time to get The San Juan airport back up and running. I have also volunteered my help in New Orleans after their hurricane for two weeks. I may have been one of the first FeedHV volunteers. I love the people that I pick up from, and deliver to. They all know my red Jeep and my boxer, Nixon, who does all of the food runs with me.
