When I became aware of FeedHV's mission to alleviate hunger while reducing food waste, I knew I had to involve myself in its work. It has been extremely gratifying to play the role of "food runner" every now and again. I appreciate that doing so takes so very little time, and that its easily scheduled around my other pursuits. To be a part of the process by which the folks who produce our food serve our neighbors at risk of going hungry brings me tremendous satisfaction. This volunteering has had an additional, wholly unanticipated benefit: every person I've met along the way has been amongst the very nicest people I have ever met.
